It seems like just the other day we were chatting about what we did in the summer and how we took some time off to enjoy the warm weather with our families. Then fall was upon us and people are back in the office, answering their phones and emails again (us too!). It seems the Fall has become the “get caught up and get stuff done” time of year.
We’ve moved quickly through September and now with October almost finished, the fall event season is coming to an end; but we are already looking to the Spring for what we know to be another busy time for fundraising events.
Think of your Spring event like your garden. We prepare our gardens for the long winter, we prune, rake, wrap and plant blubs intended for the spring and we should be handling our events the same way.
We work with our clients to wrap up and execute their fall fundraisers; putting the final touches on their events, sending thank you letters, preparing debrief reports and recommendations, all while meeting with clients in preparation for their Spring events too.
Our proactive clients are currently booking their dates for May and June, contracts are being negotiated with venues and audio visual companies, committees are being developed and event objectives, budgets and goals are being set.
Spring may seem far away, but if you plant the seeds now for your Spring event, giving it time to develop thoughtfully and creatively you will have an amazing fundraising event in the Spring.
Because we know not every client has the abilities to plan now for the Spring we do offer an Event SOS package for clients who need all hands-on deck support 6 – 12 weeks out from their event.
Whether you are a proactive planner or an organization who flies more by the seat of your pants, we can partner with you to ensure your event blooms successfully next Spring.
